Riccardo is the creative director of Givenchy, was given carte blanche to curate the current issue of A magazine. what he did was invite his friends to reflect upon This got varying results - from a portrait of vogue paris' Carine Roitfeld to a touching commentary by italy's fashion icon, Anna Piaggi. Piaggi spoke of received grace and how Tisci uses the medium of fashion as a pretext for free poetry. Another interesting one was written by Oliver Wicker, editor-in-chief of Liberation Next. Wicker imagines that one day Tisci will receive a call from a director, perhaps from the notably dark and mysterious david cronenberg or david lynch. the imaged call will be a proposal that the designer dress a film somewhat like Luis Bunuel's Viridiana, which won him the palm d'Or at the 1961 Cannes film festival. Other contributors include friends, artists and people that Tisci admires, such as Courtney Love, Christina Ricci, Emmanuelle Seigner, Maggie Cheung, Ruben Toledo, Antony Hegart, Amanda Lear, Joana Preiss, Beatrice Dalle and Mario Sorrenti. The issue also features photographs of Tisci's mother and eight sisters.
